- Watch the prequel first: Vague but Exciting covers where the web came from and the model this film builds on (URL, HTML, HTTP; a client you don’t control; a network you can’t trust).
- Each rung chapter previews one lesson in the series and its paired demos: the fragile and resilient stores, the inaccessible and accessible stores, the translation lesson, the usability checkout, the pressure and respect stores, and
verify.js. - The code on screen is taken from, or modeled on, the Terra Outfitters demo source, so students will recognize it when they open DevTools.
- The narration is a synthetic voice (Kokoro TTS). The film's timing follows the narration track, so a recorded voice-over can replace it cue for cue using the transcript.
- With Reduce Motion turned on in the operating system, the film keeps its fades and drops the sliding and falling.
- Set in Atkinson Hyperlegible Next and Mono, typefaces the Braille Institute designed for readers with low vision.
