Who owns this?
RDAP is the machine-readable successor to WHOIS. Look up the registrable domain of the host above to see who registered it and when — a brand-new look-alike is a red flag.
RDAP doesn't cover every TLD. Full record at ICANN Lookup
The extension at the end of a path is only a convention — what really decides how a browser treats a file is the Content-Type header the server sends. Clean URLs often drop the extension entirely.

Compare two URLs
Same origin, same site, or another site entirely? The answer decides what the browser shares between them: cookies, storage, caches, and whether a script may read the response.
Resolve a relative URL
A link written ../fonts/a.woff2 means nothing alone. The browser resolves it against the address of the document (or stylesheet) it appears in.
Resources & related specifications
URL parsing is native (URL / URLSearchParams); host classification uses the Public Suffix List via tldts. Styled with Vanilla Breeze.
Honest limits: the Public Suffix List is a bundled snapshot (updated with the library, not live). Some schemes shown (magnet) are de-facto conventions with no IETF RFC.
